I finally got the interior restoration finished and I have posted

John,
Is the cover over the doghouse for appearence or noise control? Does
it make a noticeable difference in the sound level?

Gardner, It was done for both reasons and it does help. I also
intend to insulate from the inside as soon as the weather warms up
enough to work outside. I have a couple layers of carpet padding
under there and it seems to help. Every little bit does.

Well John you've proved that you can lighten up an older coach and make
it very, very nice.

What kind of wall paper did you use? Was it the kind that has the
sticky back? I might try that out myself but with the cabinets first
in the kitchen.

Anyway it looks like and you did a real nice job and you can be prode
of the work you did. Jon

PS. Your dog house cover look great also! Mine is carpeted and I use
throw pillow on top to help deaden some of the sound.

Nice Job... the pics are great, just one question... The cabinet behind the arm chair, is that stock, or did you fabricate that??? I like it... I have a half cabinet there and my TV on top...

To Answer a couple questions. The wall paper I got from Lowe's and
it is pre-pasted so that in theory you just wet the paper. I think
that would work ok on interior walls but over the paneling I also
rolled on the premixed paste. I am a suspenders and belt type of guy
for the most part. This seemed to work well for me. The walls will
not take the "beating" that the paneling will but the wall paper I
chose would be pretty easy to patch if needed. I just did not like
the dark color of what was there.

As to the cabinet behind the passangers seat. That is actually the
right front wheel well with just a small lift up top over it. It's
only about 6 or 8 inches deep. Remember this is a 31 foot coach so
there is not as much up front room as in the 35 footers. I do not
know if that is original or not. This coach has passed thru about 5
owners and there is not much that is original at this point. (And
that is likely a good thing)

Bill, I had the three swing out drawers and the four pull out
drawers below the sink (just the fronts) recovered with formica to
match the counter top and upper cabinets. I don't know if the sink
top and upper cabinets are original or not. I think they might be.
They reused the wood and the pull handles and just recovered with a
matching material (its so close you can't tell the difference) That
was done professionally. All the blue on the vertical surfaces is
wall paper. I've done a lot. I painted the pull down blinds with
the duplicolor spray paint. I've gotten rid of all the brown
paneling with the acception of the rear bed room. I intend to leave
that.

My trip this weekend was great. I put about 300 miles on her no
problems other then buying fuel at $4:09. But it is what it is. I
get about 10 or 11 miles per which is reasonable considering. Lots
more to do but I can take my time with the rest. This weekend I
expect to pick up my used Alcoa wheels. Hope they are in good
condition work out OK for me. Couple years I'll have it about
right :-)

Thanks John.
I am planning to do our coach as well, but thinking about melamine paint on the walls and new formica in the kitchen, will also change the sink, install a water filter etc since it will be torn apart.
I have a number of other things to do as well, alternator, generator does not stay running, air leaks, but I am getting there.
Winters are so long up here, so once she is covered up, well that is the way it stays for almost 6 months.
Once I start getting things done I will post pics as well.
