Hi Fred, I was in your coach before you bought her. Not many mid door PTs around. Hope you get it fixed.

I had an accident with the laminate sidingthat is in the kitchen and bath areas,it is a damaged area that would be like a hammer strike and I was hoping if someone knew if there was a repair for this.

Fred: If it is minor, the laminate company might have a filler that
would correct it, but I would bet it would show because your laminate
is probably a gloss finish.

A good laminate installer could overlay that entire panel if
you can find a match for it. Mayber the records of your coach build
are still available in the files at the factory. It so happens with
mine, I have a build folder in my Blue Box that gives the colors and
manufacturer.

I have repaired a dent by using a kitchen towel over the dent and
heating the dent spot with a steam iron. Care must be taken to only
draw the dent back out flat. A repair kit can be purchased to do any
addition repair or you can go to a good counter top fab shop and they
can do the finishing touches. Good Luck!

Ernie
The damage is on the corner, arounded edge in the counter and sink base where there isn't a drawer.Wonderfully obvious as you enter the coach at the level between the floor and counter.
There are bits of the laminate missing resulting from the injury.
Just a reminder,I have a mid door.

Hi Fred,
I can give you a weird solution that has worked for me in the past.
If the damage is on an edge, I took Bondo and fixed the missing area.
Then took small paint, the kind you find for using in model building.
I experimented on a piece of plastic till I got the color mixing the
same (or almost a match)then painted over the Bondo. I finished it off
with a masked off area around the damage and covered it with a clear
spray. Worked for me.

The damage was a sliding blow and did not dent, but broke the laminate into a few tiny pieces of shards not salvageable.

Hi Bob
I am happy to hear about the Bondo plastic filler theory.
It appears that is a good solution.
I had that thought and was not certain it was viable.
Thanks
