I called Shurflo today & they said it was a sensor.They said they
would send me a new one free of charge. I just don't know what would
have made it break after three years. there wasn't any pressure on it.
If the pump would been under our bed we would got a lot of water on
the floor. When I turned the water off outside the tank still drained
out through the pump. The only way I could get the pump to quit
leaking was to turn the water on the in & out side of the pump.
