If you received the Bird of the Week message I sent a few minutes ago, you may have noticed some new text features. We are pleased to announce that we have implemented some new features on the forum that will allow text formatting, smilies, and embedded jpg and gif features, as well as attachments for help with questions on repairs.
We are doing this since we have a stable adult population that we do not think will abuse these new features. As usual, anything violating the forum rules on the front page or resembling spam will be dealt with appropriately.
Some things you need to know:
1. You must receive individual emails from the forum to see all the features. If you receive the posts in digest form, they will be in plain text.
2. Attachments and embedded pictures will show up only on individual emails. They will not be stored online in order not to waste space. Therefore, pictures will not show up on the forum site or in the digests. If you need a picture attachment to have long lasting value, continue to load it to the Photos.
3. Text formatting will show on the forum site.
I will post a couple of messages following this post so that those of you receiving individual emails from the forum will see the possible effects. If you are on digest or reading posts online, many of the features will not show. To change your delivery options, you will need to edit your membership choices. If you need help with this, contact one of the moderators - offline please.
