Does anybody have the firestone part numbers for the front & tag axle
air bags on a 1988 PT40 Wide Body? There has been several prior
postings for air bags on earlier model PT40's but none of them match
up with the bellow numbers on my bird's air bags. Thus,I am quite sure
the part numbers are not the same as those posted previously for
earlier models. If anybody has this information I would appreciate a
reply.

It is as simple as calling Blue Bird and asking the parts dept. They are
very helpful.
The air springs are different for the wide WB.

The following info was printed in a publication (possibly The Bird
Feeder) in 1992 regarding air bag numbers:

Tag Axle Bag: #013589073 (printed on metal)or BB#:990671
Wide Body Front Axle: #013589457 (printed on metal or BB#:1286814
Drive Axle Bag: #013589039 (printed on metal)or BB#:0961250
There was a note which stated that all pushers have the same Tag and
Drive axle bags. The Wide Bodys have a larger front air bag.

Gene: Found some numbers for Ridewell air springs for the 1988 Wide
Body.

100-358-9457C Front Axle Bag
100-358-9039C Drive Axle Bag
100-358-9037C Tag Axle Bag

These numbers came from Ray Horne at Wanderlodge on 3/21/1992

Thanks for the air bag numbers!!! I called Bluebird parts and they gave me some
numbers but they were not correct. Although I told them I have a wide body, they
must have given me numbers for a non-wide body. In any event I have compared
the part numbers you have given me with the measurements of my air bags and
they appear to be the correct ones (I have Firestone's catalogues for air
springs with
all of the measurements, part numbers, etc.) Thanks again for your response, you
have been a great help. I am planning a trip to Colorado in about a month and
wanted
to take some spare bags with me.
