It looks like the wife and I will be getting away in the Bird for a 4-
day trip. We are going to a little town called Johnsburg in Upstate
New York to visit family. The highlight of the trip will be, if the
weather cooperates, a magnificent view of the Perseids Meteor shower.
The night sky from that area is stunning due to the absence of any
nearby cities or even brightly lit towns. Although the Perseids comet
is moving progressively further away each year, with a new moon and
good weather the August 13th peak should be interesting.

Since we will be on private land, I can spend the days puttering
around doing things on the Bird and the nights loking at the stars
(no, not Holllywood stars).

That's far out. Enjoy the trip and the wife. Work on the Bird when you get back.
