What a strange group. I truly enjoy the technical expertise and great storys.
But the bashing of that one particular person with possible legit. complaints
about their BB is truly first-grade school kid garbage.

I am very fortunate to own a '79 FC33 with a horribly pathetic turbo'd Cat
3208(anyone want to jump on my case about that?). I love my coach, yet there are
definitely a plethora of problems; where do I start?

Time and money permitting my plans are to replace it with either a 3306, or an
Isuzu 6SD1T( I work on Isuzus for a living). The 7.5kw genset is nothing more
than an oversized alternator, that is slated to be replaced with an 15kw w/motor
starting capabilities. As you can see, the list goes on...

Turbo boost should usually be tested under full load, if in place on a dyno. or
on the road on something such as hillclimb. I remember crossing the eastern
Nevada desert last August at night watching my turbo boost gauge for fun on the
climbs out of sheer boredom to pass the miles.

Also blowing out your fuel lines with compressed air is a good idea, as long as
the air from the tank is DRY. Otherwise if enough water creeps into your system
we all know how detrimental that can be to injection pumps and injectors.

Last but not least, why are the posts that people put up, are filled with ten
previous mesages as well? Scrolling through just to get to the next message is
truly an undertaking.Tighten it up People!

Otherwise, this is a good forum to learn about ones BB. Thanks to
many of you for the great advice. Sincerely, Tony Pawley
