I know this gets talked about from time to time -- with suggestions
to use BBs, golf balls, special sand, etc. but I'd like to hear
opinions on how to best balance the tires on my coach.

I've misplaced the email, but someone mentioned a thing that goes
behind the wheel that dynamically balances the tire.

During our recent 3-month trip, I noticed that the front tires, in
particular, don't seem very well balanced. The bad part is that the
out-of-balance vibration seems to be worst at 55-60 mph -- which is a
speed I seem to spend a fair amount of time driving.

That speed is also where vibrations show up for wheels out of round.
I'd check that out. You can do this by jacking up the front end and
spinning the wheels by hand. Place a small supported stick where it
will just touch the tread of the tire, spin it. If there are gaps or
it drags hard and stops the wheel, you have your answer.
