Hi group,
Since we live in our bird, we seem to go into the bathroom 10 times a
day.
It is the paddle latch outside with a handle on the inside (which one
of our cats has figured out how to push down).
I would like to get a backup if one is available.
I called Bluebird and was told "no longer available".
Anybody got a source for this?

Are you talking about the door? I had a cat once that could open the kitchen
door to get to the garage. I left the garage door open once figuring it needed a
different home and I have not seen it since. And that is not bs, I still have
pic's of that cat working on the door handle.lol

Some cats are very smart...one of mine is, the other just eats all day
and sleeps and weighs 17 lbs. Sure glad the bus is not over its gross
weight limit. If I had an SOB, the rig would probably tilt to one side
(between me and the fat cat LOL).

Bob,
On our '81 FC we had a latch similar to what you describe. It was a PERKO which
should be available at marine stores.

He periodically makes trips to pick up equipment. I will probably be back
down there in the next couple of weeks so I can pick it up for you. Tom
doesn’t like to mail parts.

Yes, you can get a replacement thru westmarine. The unit is made by PERKO.

Well thanks, Chuck.
