can anyone help with the correct running temperature for the CAT 3208T
in my 82 FC-35? The wanderlodge manual says 100 degrees over the
outside temperature. Mine is running at about 200 degrees which is
about 20 degrees higher. I am about to take it into the mountains so
what is your advice before I travel?

The temp gauge on my old FC indicated 15-20 degrees higher than
actual. If you have access to an infrared heat gun, I would check on
the accuracy first.

Can you tell when your fan clutch kicks in? Mine kicks in around 195 degrees or
so and
immediately starts bringing down the temperature. If your gauge is accurate, I
believe your
fan clutch should be kicking in before it gets to the temperature you're seeing.

The fan clutch kicks in around 190 - 200 i think. I will check if this
drops the temp, as far as I remember the temp stays constant at just
under 200. I have checked the rad cap it seems fine and the coolant
level is right too.
