They say there is no stuoid question! How in the heck does the
steering wheel come off my 77FC? Nothing seems to turn or unlock...it
has a little bluebird in the middle where the horn is. Thanks for any
info....jim

Jim,

The white cap (horn button) comes off by pushing down on it then twisting.
You will need to select the off position for the horn switch. When that comes
off you will find a large nut that needs to be removed (1'' or larger) then
you will need a puller of sorts to dislodge the steering wheel from the shaft.

Jim,
*carefuly*remove the center [horn button]. A wire is attached to
the underside of the button, you will see a large nut inside the
steering wheel. It takes a deepwell-socket to reach it. Don't
remember the size off hand. Get that not off, then us a small puller
to pull the wheel off.
