There is a resevoir and pump just behind the front bumper on my 77
FC33 with a Ford 534 gas engine. A flat plate 1/4" x 3" is welded to
the vertical middle of the front bumper behind the slot step as a
support for the tank/pump. A 2" rod about 10" long is also present to
brace the unit. I can't tell if this is original equipment or a later
add-on/repair. I had thought of having the bumper rechromed but am
leery of trying to remove it. This would also pose a problem if I
wanted to install a swing radiator/swing down bumper. (I suppose a
different support system could be fabricated)

The right rear leveler failed because the line was melted through and
cauterized by the exhaust pipe from the generator. In trying to
determine how long a replacement hose would be needed we traced the
line to another tank aft of the transmission between the frame rails.
This really confused me as I can't trace the lines from the forward
tank/pump back through the engine compartment.

Does anyone with a similar year/model 'Bird have this arrangement? I
didn't see anything in Curt Sprenger's photos on the installation of
a swing radiator in his 74 FC31 that looked at all similar to my 77
FC33 (regarding the tank/pump configuration). I know different model
years do vary and this may be a non-standard installation.
