As I was driving my coach home I noticed the tach moving all over
the scale. I'm going to be installing the new oil temp guage. I will
also
take a look at the tach. However, I don't really know exactly what
to look for. I assume it's electric. What drives it from the engine?
I have a Jaguar E-Type and it uses a small AC generator to drive its
tach. Does a 6V92 have something similiar - something I could measure
the voltage out of and determine at which end the trouble is? Where
would this sender be located.

I know it sounds like, from the amount of my posts, I'm having a lot
of problems. I'm really very satisfied.

1 The dash air works and converted to R 134
2 The leveling system works
3 The overhead air and heat works
4 The LP and electric furnaces work.
5 All the water systems work ( hot, instant hot, etc.).
6 The generator works
7 The microwave works

The only thing I really havn't tested is the frig. Its new so i'm
not really worried.

Thanks in advance

usually there is a tach sender on the front of the cat 3208. It is dead center
on the engine in an indented area behind the fan pulley. If it is jumping around
it can be several problems. I would suggest checking for any electrical
possibilities before ripping into the mechanical part.

Hi Art How I handly the tack is where it connected to on the 6V92 by the air
compressor unscrew the coupling
and pack it with bearing grease that will settle it down. You can get to the
coupling from the curb side.
