My bus has been at Stewart & Stevenson in Houston for 4 weeks while
they are trying to find out why the engine will not talk to the
transmission. We are getting code 66 and they are trying to find the
VIM (vehicle interface module) or the "Cigar". Bluebird is saying that
it is located in the long panel under the windshield. Does anyone know
the location for sure??

Morning CE:

There is a module behind that panel to the drivers side of center. In your
'89, the ECM is in the back closet, floor level, on the drivers side. As we
found out not long ago, the ECM in the 90's coaches is located in the gen
set control compartment.
