Anyone here ever had Henderson's Lineup (Grant's Pass Oregon - not one of their
dealers elsewhere) perform a "Road Performance Assessment" on a Bird?

I've always heard good things about the results of this with SOBs, but I'm
wanting to know if they have experience with Birds.

An RPA is a $150 analysis of ride and handling that includes a 15-mile run over
a variety of road types. Details here:

I suspect that Blue Thunder could use new shocks, and I'm leaning towards Koni
FSDs (which Henderon's carries) but given the overall cost I think a
professional assessment could be money well spent. I may go with it even if
nobody else has, but my comfort level would increase if there's favorable
experience, and decrease if their is unfavorable.

Don. Robert's Motors in Medford Oregon has a Vehicle Inspection System (VIS)
which I found very helpful. It runs up the bus to check brakes and then
shakes the heck out of the vehicle while a mechanic is underneath looking
for loose suspension and worn parts. I've never been charged for the
inspection because I'm there to get other work done including oil change,
air dryer and other things that crop up. I usually book an appointment every
two years as this is when I get the air dryer overhauled.
