Keith Strehle

I just got back from my first long range journey and found that my
84FC35 has a tendency to pull to the right. When I first bought it
(February) I noticed a tendency to lean a little to the right side
occasionally ut didn't know what to make of it. I just replaced the
tires with Remington steer only and Sumitomo's in the back.

From a rookie's point of view I'm wondering if I need an alignment or
could it be a function of ride height adjustment?

If it's alignment what should I know before I seek out a place to do
it? Is it as simple as a car or light truck?

Remember, there are no stupid questions... but I like to push the
envelope.

Hi Keith,

Had the same problem and got alignment done for around $100 (give
or take a few $) Coach steers and rides much better. No longer pulls
to one side when braking either. Money well spent. If you don't do it,
tires will wear unevenly.

Keith,
I just want to remind you,if you weren't already aware,
Mostly all Arizona highways are extremely crowned,or in some cases sloped to to
right side.
I know I-8 is very sloped,between Yuma and Casa Grande.
I have to remind myself of this each trip we are on that stretch.

Keith,
One thing I noted while test driving that coach for you was how nice
and straight it went down the highway, there was no pull at all to
the left or right just straight down the highway.
Did you notice this when you drove it home from San Jose?
Do the air bags hold air after shut down?

Hey Robert, I didn't notice it when I first got it. But since I got
news tires it's noticible. The old tires were so hard it was
difficult to tell. With the new tires I noticed right away that it
was much easier to steer but also noticed the pull to the right. I
thought it might have been the road surface but it's too much even
for that. I noticed in some situations that the coach felt like it
was leaning to the right. The air tends to bleed off fairly quickly
but I attributed most of that to the leaking step cylinder. So as
always I'm open for suggestions. I think I'll start with getting a
front end alignment. If that doesn't solve the problem I'll move to
the next most likely culprit.
