1977 FC 31' Center bath. We have had this coach for about three
years. We live in Oklahoma and have traveled in it in many directions
including Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Missouri, Arkansas, and
Texas. During these trips it has never missed a beat, not even
stuttered one time. Has always started at a touch of the key, never
balked. It is not a show coach or extensively remodelled, etc. It is
an enjoyed coach that we have taken good care of since we bought it.
We got it from an estate where the deceased owner had also taken
great care of it. Many records came with it. We have updated the
upholstery on the couches and booth, the carpet has been nicely
changed in the past. It has had a quality repaint with factory
colors, but shows some age. The engine and other fluids changed by
big rig professionals. All new tires very recently. Wheel bearings
repacked, brake linings were strong. It has the swing out radiator,
which makes belt attention very easy. I had the front bumper
rechromed and it looks good. The engine (Cat 3208NA)has been replaced
in the past and the receipts are there, but I haven't been able to
determine the mileage since. The grandson had no idea and the records
don't make it easy todetermine. The generator works OK but runs rich.
We use it frequently and it works fine, but a carb fix would probably
help. $19,900 Email BLewis1035@... Call 918 231 8939

it has what we have called the Never Fail levelers. In other words,
it has a series of stacking 2x8s with beveled ends that you drive up
on to level the coach. Primitive, but effective and troublefree.

Tom Warner

I believe this is important!
Do not drive the rear duals unto a "leveler" as you describe it made
of 2 X 8 wood. Considering the width of the duals and the distance
between tires you are going to put possible cord breaking pressure on
the tires. As someone else mentioned you need at least "levelers"
made of 2 X 12 stock and even then that may not be wide enough
considering the width of two 11R22.5 tires and the width between them.

If you go to the Michelin
site http://www.michelinrvtires.com/michelinr...hom_us.jsp and
then "RV tire guide" and then read "Using blocks to level motorhomes
and Rvs equipped with radial tires" you will see more information
and the reasoning behind it. New tires are expensive and I am sure no
one wants to chance a blow out due to this method of raising the
coach to work on it. 20 ton jack stands are a better way to do it.

I appreciate Mr. Warner's concern. I went to the Michelin website as
he suggested and my leveling practices were exactly as they
described. My ramps are wider and longer than the footprint of the
tires and of course the duals require ramps under each tire.

Would still like to sell this one. Call me at 918 231 8939 just to
chat. I am happy to talk to tire kickers about the coach. Serious or
frivolous inquiries are welcome.
