When I run my Honda 2000 portable generator to feed the Bird I don't
get the green polarity indicator lights. The lights/gages are located
in the kitchen area next to the sink. Everything seesm to work okay.
Is this a problem?

Most motor homes keep the neutral and grounds separate. Some generators
also do this. The "floating" ground will keep the green lights from coming
on. I have a Honda 2200 I carry for emergencies since we spend so much time
in extremely cold weather. The Green lights do come on with it but it is
not electronic. The main problem you could have is getting "bit" if some
component or appliance has an electrical fault. Honda manuals have an
electrical schematic. Look and see how it is wired internally. If the
neutral and ground are ties together then I would guess there is a
connection problem.
