Tom Meservey

Hi folks,

Yes I have an original Blue Bird clock that came with the coach and have been
in conversations with several members who have expressed an interest in buying
it. I know at one time Scott had expressed an interest in making them and he
and I guesstimated roughly how much it would cost to produce them. Trust me it
is more than just cutting out a pattern from a 2" piece of walnut. I was caught
up in making furniture for the house at the time and just didn't have any spare
moments: now they are closing the woodworking shop here on the base because of
the GREAT cost of being in Iraq.

I have had several very interested parties contact me on the coach and what I
am going to do is let the clock go with the coach, whereas it was original
equipment. However, should the coach not sell, then I may very well put the
clock up for sale on eBay. The coach still has four more days and I really hope
that someone will come along and just buy it. It is a shame for a nice coach to
just sit. As those of you know who have bought coaches that have set for years,
all kinds of unforeseen problems can arise.

I have a few more Blue Bird items I will be putting on eBay also, thanks for
all of your's interest.

Regards.

Hi Tom

Would it be possible to get a good straight head on picture of this and
some kind of sketch giving some dimentional relationships that I could put
one together?

Thanks

Thank you Tom- and I understand about the clock going with it's coach. If and
when you do decide to put it up on Ebay- please let me know- I will definately
bid on it.

thanks again.

buying the clock for a friend of mine that is a new owner of an older model and
really wanted to get the clock. I have unsubscribed- not being an actual owner

Thank you again!

Why would you not just keep the clock in the coach that it came in,
selling it or not.
I'm just curious as to why you would want to start parting out things
like that. In the long term I think that it makes the coach more
valuable if it has all the original items and obviously by the
responce your getting from folks that type of stuff is important to
have.

Just my opinion, have a good day!

The clock came in the coach - the coach should sell with the clock in
it.

I had to put new guts in my 83 FC' clock's woodwork - and a working
clock went with the coach when I sold it.

In other words, what else would you peice out to sell a partially
whole FC? You will denigrate the unit if you sell pieces parts
- unless of course you part out the whole coach, then it is a given
good deal for all - buyer and seller.

Tom, I am amazed, seems like those that might want to tell ya what to
do and not do or how to sell you coach should step up and buy your
coach then they can do with it what they will.

I have my original GENSET FOR SALE it came with the coach..(actually
I think it is sold) not going to part out my coach but I have a
newer genset...my newer PowerTech will definately add value to the
coach, but it is not the original. For example.

C'mon guys does he really owe anyone an explanation as to what he is
going to sell and for how much??? Tom has had his coach for many
years and they full timed in it for years. I "think" he can make that
decision on his own.

Scott, I'm with you. I don't even want a bird clock but I'd bid on
Toms clock now !! However, I hate the classic birds that have custom
paint. The classic style is the one thing that should not be removed.

Curious, are these clocks rare or something?

Only ask because I noticed my "new" coach has one displayed
prominently in the rear. If they're for some reason a rare item, that
makes me happy.

If they're not, it still makes me happy. ;-) I'm just plum happy this week.
