I am not trying to steal any of Todd Jones' great work putting this
deal together, but since I am local to Tweetys, I went by there to
pick up my unit this morning and I mentioned to them that some people
had missed out on the deal due to the short duration of time it was
offered. Several people emailed me that they had missed the notice
until too late.

Tweetys called me a little while ago and asked me to post a notice
that they will extend the $270 + Shipping deal on the Progressive
Industries EMS HW 50C until 4pm on Friday March 16th. I believe MSRP
is $399 on that unit. Tweetys number is 1-800-358-5894 and anyone
that answers can take the order. Their web site is
http://www.tweetys.com/

OK Scott Bishop, are you listening? Now you can place your order!
Ernie, you can get one also to protect your Bird for next time!

Mike.... You're not stealing anything.
When the surge protector topic was brought up I was interested.
I only did what I believe anyone on the list would do....
And that was to try to find a good group price.....
Which others also did.

I am new (August 2006) to the Wanderlodge ownership.
At this time I know very little to help others with problems.
I appreciate the group lists and the help that is so freely given.
With time and experience hopefully I will also be able to help those that
have similar problems that I will encounter.
At this time I have been basically problem free.

We absolutely love our BB Wanderlodge purchase.
I'm ready for SPRING !!!

One thing to be aware of with this unit. it uses MOV's or Metal oxide
varistors itis important to monitor the output panel and if it shows a
fault immediatley disconnect shore power until the unit is rebuilt
While the unit will undoubtably do its job the first time and maybe
the second. When the components degrade sufficiently The product will
pass current and a surge or spike.

when I look on the Tweety website and scroll down, both the portable 30 and 50
amp devices have the same female receptacle. could this be a misprint?

Ernie, I would suggest the Hard Wire model. It you will install it,
I'll wire it up for you. I'm putting mine in the closet right below the
existing breaker panel box, and above the dual 30 amp breakers.

Thanks, Terry, just called Tweety's and talked to a lady there. i told her on
their website that the 30 amp and 50 amp units look identical. She went and
retrieved on and said it had the 4 position receptacle. I'd rather have the hard
wired- and will take you up on that offer.

FYI:
The portable unit is not being offered at any special deal. It's
regular priced. I tried to get a deal on the portable when I first
called to order mine. They basically committed to a bulk purchase to
do this deal on this one unit for us, not any other types of units.
