Hank, how ya doin'? We met at the SWBB Rally in Quartzsite. Since you
brought up the Sharpe convection microwave. I have one also. It
doesn't work. Wondering if anyone has ideas what the problem may be?
The outlet has power. Are these things worth repairing? And how do
you get them out of the mounting?

My old Sharpe crapped out and I replaced it with a new upgraded model. The new
model has many more functions than the older model, and like all newer models
works much better than the old. I changed from black to stainless. I googled
around and the price was aroung $500. Call the repair man, get it repaired if
you can and it is still old. I could not find a repair person to come to the
coach. So, if I gotta take it out and run around, time is money. I put the new
one in. Choose you own poision. <<<<<<<<<:>>>>>>>>>

Keith,

Congrats with the new bus! According to the guy that repaired my
Sharp, he said they are well worth keeping. You'll have to removed
all the stainless panels around the unit and remove screws from the
bottom. Anyway, once you get it out (it's a little heavy) you can
remove the face and find a fuse inside there. Check the fuse first.
If it continues to blow, you might have it repaired. Mine was for
about $70.

PS. Make sure your jacks are retracted before filling with fluid or
you'll get an ATF bath.

Thanks Leroy, if I can get the old one going I'll stick with that for
the time being. Get things working and plan upgrades later. That's
my plan. I want to get things in order so I can go to Baja this
summer and spend a bunch of time fishing...

Ron,
Where is that fuse for the Sharp convection microwave located exactly.
Also, did you find someone to work on it in the Sacto area?
I ran mine without anything inside. I know, it says in the book not
to operate the oven empty....oops

A local guy fixed my original Sharp Convection/Micro, a couple of micro
switches. Said; DON'T OPEN DOOR WHEN THE OVEN IS OPERATING, SHUT IT OFF FIRST!
He was very assertive about that point.
