Tranny Heat Exchanger...I removed more tubes/hoses so visual inspection
could be made of the tranny heat exchanger insides. The inside has many,
many 1/8" tubes running through it, like a radiator core. I can see
three tubes that have a little crud in the end. Other than that the
inside looks fine. I would like to have seen the inside of the exchanger
that caused the Montana tranny to be replaced.

You may want to have this pressure tested. I had a heater core repaired at a
radiator repair shop and they flushed and pressure tested several times.

That's a good idea but I'd feel sorry for the next person using the
washing machine. My wife said something like "throw them out, you are
not washing those in my machine." So I just throw them in the trash
bin. I save my old Levis and t-shirts for these jobs.
