Did get the filter this morning and put it in. We had heavy storms
here last night with about 3 to 4 inches of rain. Today is sunshine
and cool breeze. Plan to play golf tomorrow if the course is not too wet.

We expect the earliest other arrivals for tomorrow.

We now have 4 coaches that have arrived. One from Texas and three
from Louisiana. It is cold here in south Louisiana, so not much going
on outside. We had somewhere between 2.5 and 9 inches of rain the
night before, but we were lucky to escape the tornados.

I expect we will see several more coaches arriving today, but the
bulk will be tomorrow, which is the official opening day of the rally.
I think the LA contingent are up at the Casino, doing some gambling.

Shirley and I were due to play golf yesterday and today, but it
was too cold and windy. We have tee times for tomorrow and Saturday.
Sure hope it gets warmer. The delay has been good because my back
has been ailing for a few days and is much better now.

Anyone in the area should come on over and join us.

Ron,
Hope everyone has a wonderful time. Terri and I had to cancel our
trip this time because of work. Tell everyone hi for us and we hope
to see everyone at the next rally in April.

Well, the rally is nearing its end. Haven't counted the coaches,
but I'd say there are 15 or 16 present. I think there were 12
cancellations for one reason or another. Sorry you missed the rall.

Today, the temperature finally got up into the 60's, but the wind
was strong. Shirley and I played golf yesterday and today, but today
we were joined by Paul Anderson of Baton Rouge, LA. We had a great
time, but the wind sure hurt our scoring.

Several folks went to a Tobasco Factory today and others went to
visit an island. This evening, about 20 of us went to "D.I's", which
is a Cajun Restaurant and dance hall. We were entertained by Mardi
Gras Dancers, had great food and fun. This place is in the middle of
no where and packed. Roy made arrangements to make sure we all got
in. This place is along LA 97 south of Basile, LA 8 miles and about
30 miles from our camp at Coushatta Casino & Resort.

Several attendees have had some pretty good winnings at the
casino. One fella won $500 playing the penny slots. I'm sure some
lost, but you don't hear much about that.

Tomorrow morning we will have breakfast at the Casino and have a
brief meeting to determine the Rally Schedule for the balance of the
year. After that, most will depart. Some plan to stay till Monday.

To all those who came, thank you for a great time and see you at
the next Lone Star Birds Rally in April.
