If you are coming from the west heading for Kinder, La. and the rally
at the casino this post is for you. if you wish to avoid the worst 12
miles of the I-10 system then exit-36 is a must.this detour will cost
you about 2 miles or less and about 15 minutes of you time.
take exit 36 which is the creole-cameron exit and go south about 6/10
of a mile. you will then turn left at the light on to highway 90
which runs parallel to I-10. you are now on a road the was resurfaced
about a year ago and smooth as a babys bu--. head east for about 12
miles and you will come to a town called Iowa. this town has one red
light and if you are lucky it will be green and you will not have to
stop. after the red light continue on highway 90 for about 2 miles
and the road will Y. take the Y to the left and this puts you on
highway 165 and your next stop will be Kinder and the rally.
i made a trip on that 12 mile streatch of I-10 today and it is the
worst anywhere that i know of. we live is lake charles and that is
the route that we will be taking to kinder on the 16.
hope this helps a few and saves some wear and tear on your bird.
