Preparing a trip plan for the Southwest Bluebirds and Friends rally in
Quartzite, I've be using "RV Park Reviews"
http://www.rvparkreviews.com/index.html to
research California RV parks along I-5 and H-99 from Sacramento to
Quartzite Arizona, I find most appear as junk yards. Having traveled
this route many times, we've always overnighted at one of the WalMarts
in Bakersfield or Barstow, and once at a Flying J, but thought we'd
consider a park (RV Jail) along the way this time.
However, as said, so many appear undesirable and not to mention
overpriced. The only one I could find that appears reasonable is
Somerville's RV Park. http://tinyurl.com/33knn8 but is a little close.
Do any of you have a good experience to share? We're not looking for
a resort, but stopping around 3 or 4:00PM and leaving the next morning
kind of place is what we would like to find.
WalMart's OK, but Bakersfield is a bit noisy as everyday looks like a
Christmas Eve shoppers last minute dash throughout the night, and we
all know about truck stops.
I do like the Morongo Tribe's Casino in Cazabon for an overnight stop
and will stay there the second night out. http://tinyurl.com/yq5e4u
lQQk'n forward to seeing many of you in Arizona next week where it
will be getting close to 70 degrees!
Thanks,
Ron, No. California
