What type, brand, model, etc., of differential would I likely have on my
79 BB? It has a 4 speed forward, including drive, automatic

Henry - Not knowing what I had in the diff, I asked my shop to do it
and let me know what they found. There was synthetic diff lube in the
housing and they replaced it with the same. It probably didn't need to
be changed. The only benefits are that I now know the lube was clean
and how long its been in there.

Henry - Just realized I didn't answer the question you asked. Telma
wanted that same info when I bought the retarder. I could not
determine the make and model then, but have since heard it is a
Rockwell. Bob.
