Kevin, when I had my 35 for sale and we were headed to RIV to deliver the
coach, same thing happened. Due to non use, it would not operate and we sprayed
wd-40 in it. Finally had to take it apart and clean it. Guess it works, fine,
now.

I am not sure if you year BB uses the same shower valve as my 91, however, I
replaced the internal parts on my Moen shower faucet which fixed the mixing
problem. Replacing the parts can be done without removing the valve.

The Moen web site has assembly drawings you can navigate to. I ordered the
parts from Moen.

Hello:
My shower water mixer will no longer shut off on my 1982 PT40, and my
questions is can this be repaired or do I have to replace it (I assume
it is orginal)? I'm hoping it can be repaired since it will be "very"
difficult to remove without damaging the shower stall.

As always your help is greatly appreciated!

Kevin:
I recently replaced the cartridge in my shower mixer valve because of the same
problem. My mixer is a Moen. Take out the cartridge and a plumbing supply
house can match it up. To remove the cartridge, remove the handle, remove the U
clip and pull out the cartridge.

IF it is a Moen any HomeDepot,Lowe's or hardware store had the
replacement about $20.00. If you can wait Moen will sent it free, just
call the 800 number.

Bill, took the words right out of my "keyboard" :>) I did alll the
valves in RUBY last fall, and they work great...

Kevin, I would suggest you also get some "plumbers grease" to lube
the o'rings inside. A tiny tube of "high temp, water proof" grease
will work. I used Q tips to apply. Also on our 86FC I needed
the "special wrench" (small plastice piece) came with the rebuild
from HD to remove the existing core. Really easy job..

Good Luck
