Ralph, I replaced the actuator on my forward jack. While getting the
actuator off is realtively easy. remounting is tough as the supplied clamps are
very
tight to get everything to work correctly. We used large worm drive clamps
to position it and then tightened it down with the factory clamps. Once we
figured out that procedure, it went as planned.

Good morning everyone:
The rebuild of the HWH control manifold went well, no more leaks there. We
now have 3 out of 4 leveling jacks. I have a leak between the kick down
cylinder and the jack cylinder on one. Have not had this off in the past,
so am delving into something new. Looks like the leak is in the upper port
where the small kick down cylinder joins the jack. Anyone been there? Does
it screw in or is it a press fit with o'rings?

Is the jack the same type as the front swing down jacks on our '87 PT38?
I've replaced the swing down Actuator on one. It's two o-rings, one top
and one bottom, press fit.

Before removing the actuator, try tightening the top clamp or both
clamps. That might be all that is needed. When I replaced the actuator
it took a couple tries to align and tighten properly to stop the o-rings
from leaking.

Sounds like the plan. I will replace the o rings and go with it. That
o'ring kit I bought on o of our "tool" runs is paying for it's self.

Yes Curt, I had the same problem. Put hose clamps on that tighten in
the opposite direction to get the actuator twisted on the o-rings
just right. I used a feeler guage to measure the clearance between
the shoulder of the actuator and the body of the main cylinder to
determine that the connection was approximately square. So far the 0-
rings are not leaking.
About a year ago on a cold day, deployed the RR jack and the pressure
broke one of the hose clamps seperating the actuator from the main
cylinder, big mess.
