Hello everyone:
Our new to us Coach, '84FC35SB, is resting on it's pad in the back yard. So
got started today on some of the problems. Right now I have the HWH
hydraulic control head out of the Coach and have rebuilt the plungers that
were leaking, will install tomorrow, add fluid and see what is what.
Like Ernie, the injector pump is leaking on the gen set. I found a shop in
OKC that rebuilds all the injector pumps for the major trucking firms, that
will rebuild mine for $450.00 which is in line with John's experience.
I have a couple of air valves to replace under the Coach, ergo the jacks
fixed to get her up a little, so this short feller can get under there to
do the air stuff. Then on to the cruise control, after which she will be
road worthy to make a Lone Star Bird Rally in Feb. hopefully.
One thing at a time, then will start on the foof stuff. The inside is nice,
sofa has been re done along with the dog house cushion, new carpet was put
in so will replace the fresh water pump, do maint on the lp heaters.
Charolette is happy, I am out of the house and not under foot! LOL

Thanks all:
No photos as yet, a few changes are being thought about for the interior
but that is down the road a bit. This Coach has a double bed in back with a
vanity, that may get changed to a twin bed set up as twins allow more room
and ease of making beds.
Am more pointed, at present, to get the down systems on line and back to
original. Power steering hoses replaced, new top hats on the drives,
crossfire system installed, fluids and filters changed out. The tires are
only 1 year old by the DOT code. I have been playing with the idea of
making an air dam for the front top over the Coach evap unit to the goat
rail, will see. Then start looking for one of the Salon tables like in the
'85 Birds. I will be replacing the Konstant hot unit, as we use this
feature quite a bit.
All that is after I get her road systems on line to my satisfaction for
reliability. Over all she is a clean Coach. I will make her better.
I will probably redo the radiator/fan set up on the gen set like John did.
The paint has been redone but will make a few changes there as well. The
main ZipDee Awning has been replaced and all awnings look new, though they
are not.
Very first interior change will be, putting in the BB clock that Joe and
Kay Losh made for us from scratch.
