Hi Group,

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe these to be the correct
drivetrains (engine + transmission) for the Wanderlodge library of
motorhomes:

models)
Caterpillar 3208 210 HP with Allison MT640 (used in 1975-77 FC models)
Caterpillar 3208 210 HP with Allison MT643 (used in 1978-82 FC models)
Caterpillar 3208T 225 HP with Allison MT643 (used in 1983-84 FC
models)
Caterpillar 3208TA 250 HP with Allison MT643 (used in 1985-86 FC
models)
Caterpillar 3208ATAAC 300 HP with ZF Ecomat 5HP500 (used in 1987-92
FC models)
Cummins 6CTA8.3 300 HP with Allison MD3060R WTEC (used in 1993-96 BMC
models)
Cummins C8.3E 325 HP with Allison MD3060R WTEC (used in 1997-98 BMC
models)
Cummins M11E 400 HP with Allison HD4060R WTEC (used in 1996-98 BMC
models)
Cummins ISM 400 HP with Allison HD4060R WTEC (used in 1999+ BMC
models)

Detroit Diesel 8V92TA 475 HP with Allison HTB741 ATEC (used in 1986-
87 PT models)
Detroit Diesel 8V92TA DDEC 475 HP with Allison HTB748 ATEC (used in
1988-89 PT models)
Detroit Diesel 8V92TA DDEC II 500 HP with Allison HTB755CR ATEC (used
in 1990-93 PT models; California versions use 8V92TAC DDEC II 450 HP
with Allison HTB755CR ATEC)
Detroit Diesel 8V92TA DDEC III 500 HP with Allison HTB755CR ATEC

From my looking at things for the past few months, the DDEC 475 appears to be
88-90 and the DDEC II 500 starts with 91. Given all of the other part-year
changes in various 90s it would not surprise me if some are the later model
engine, but I haven't seen one, and the brochure for that year says DDEC 475.
They do, however, have the HT755, so that would require them to get their own
line in your list.

Welcome to the WanderlodgeForum. FYI, it's traditional here to sign
your posts. Can we assume you are looking for a Bird?

I believe you might want to visit the vintagebirds.com website and go
through the history section to review your drivetrain and model list.
I'm not sure where you got the list, but it has several errors. For
instance, PTs didn't begin production until 1982 and they started with
6V92 Detroits, never a 71 series. The FCs used 3208s starting in
1977. Prior to that they were gas powered.
