Howdy.
I am looking for a contour rug for our bathroom. The problem is
finding a contour rug that will fit around the base of the Microphor
commode. The front of the commode base measures 10 inches across.
Ideas or suggestions to solve this problem would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Liz

Liz, I'm a retired flooring guy and I doubt you'll ever find one to
fit. It would not be difficult to customize a rug to fit.
First, take some pattern material and loose fit it. Then take a compass/
dividers (the kind we used in school to make circles) and and trace
around the comode, walls etc. Now go shopping for just the right look
in a rug/ carpet . The material should be heavy enough to lay flat and
stay flat. I'd suggest you make another out of pattern material and
see if it fits correctly. This is important as you need to trace the
pattern on the BACK of the rug. REMEMBER, when you turn the rug over,
turn your pattern over too! The edges of the rug will want to unravel
so seal the edges with a fexible adhesive. I would use a silicone type.
If you hope to machine wash it use lots of silicone. Maybe make 2 , one
for summer colors and one for winter.
