As with most of you, I have been drenched in diesel for years while fueling BB.
I finally found a solution!!! Eureka!!!
West Marine, and probably other boating stores sells a collar which fits
around the spout of the nozzle that ABSOLUTELY blocks blow back. I did it today
for the first time; NOT A DROP SPILLED.
This is used primarily aroung marinas because of fed. regs against spilling
any fuel in water. It was less than $10 and you just put it in a baggie and
keep it in the fuel door or wherever winds your clock.
This is better than rags or towels because it has crystals that capture any
overflow.
