Friday, I finished installation of the lights in my soon-to-be toad,
and I noticed that one of the clearance lights was out.

Today, I removed the bulb and it tests good ... but the socket is
heavily rusted (and therefore is probably the problem). I can clean
the socket and most likely get it working again, but it looks like
the kind of thing that will quickly corrode again.

Checking the archives of the list, there are quite a few discussions
about clearance lights, but I didn't see any that specifically
referred to the 89-97 WB year models (several references to pre '88).

So, has anybody identified directly replacements (preferably with
LEDs) for the slightly newer WL coaches? I'll have to climb the
ladder tomorrow and get some measurements -- but I'd hate to spend
the time if the question has already been answered.

Thanks.

Tail Lights
=======

My second problem is the tail lights are "out" on the coach. The
brake lights work, but when the headlights and clearance lights are
on the tail lights don't have power. The tail lights on the -TOAD-
are on. The existing plug for the toad/trailer was used, but new
wires were run for the lube-pump warning light. I'm still looking
through the wiring diagrams (I have a huge pile of them) trying to
identify the circuits. If anybody knows what fuses and/or relays
control the tail lights (on a '95 -- I presume an 89-96 would be the
same) I'd sure appreciate a hint. Since the tail lights on the toad
work, is it a good idea to tap into the wire to the plug (I'm not
sure where it is sourced) to power the tail lights? Comments
appreciated.
