I haven't posted here in a while, I guess things have been going too
smoothly (knock on wood)

However now I have a bit of a problem - my front heater core is
leaking and I have opened up the beast and it looks like a major job
to pull the heater core (3 fans? ductwork and 22 year old bolts.

Is there any chance that some sort of radiator sealent could be put in
the system and it would work? I have never used the stuff and have no
idea if it is a good idea or not, especially in a wet sleeve diesel.

Any thoughts??

Filling the extensive glycol system, sporlan valves, many heater cores with
funny sealing stuff, don't sound good to me.

I agree with Mike. I would use a hammer and beat on the core to see
if it stoped leaking before putting in the used car dealer stop leak
products. In a pinch I have used a couple of blunt chisels and
crimped both ends of a leaking flow tube.

Wayne, I also have a 1984 pusher. This year I have recored my generator
radiator, and had to replace my coach radiator. I have already considered
having my heater cores checked for preventive maintenance, if I can get them
out. My suggestion would be to take the heater core out and fix it for peace of
mind, then you can tell me how to get mine out. Don't you like advice from
someone who knows practically nothing about radiators.
