There is an 87FC35 for sale on Ebay, item #170031694931
located in Wyoming. Buy it now price $44495

or Tiny URL: http://tinyurl.com/o69vh

In the bottom row of the pictures, second from left, there
is shown a shift console with a retarder lever to the right.

The "F" chassis number is 1544 later than mine. Mine has
a lever for this under the dash, left side of wheel.

I emailed the owner, Randy Frazier, about this and he
said as far as he knew it was standard, yet, I have
talked with others and theirs in under the dash as well.

Does anyone have this lever mounted here also?
Seems much more functional in this location.

Thanks for your rep[ies,

My 82 has an aftermarket retarder with the lever in a similar position.
However, the lever
is much smaller and lighter. The downside of that location is that a couple of
times I have
engaged the retarder unwittingly when putting on the left turn signal.

Bob:

That lever is an add on to the original lever. I have seen them on other
Coaches as well, not sure where they are bought though.

I have an 87 PT40 and my retarder has the lever on the left side of the
steering wheel also. Personally, being right handed, I would not like it on
the right side. Seems a little awkward.

Bob,

My 87FC35 chassis number is 1543 later than Randy's FC. The retarder
lever is under the dash, unlike the photos of his on EBay.
