Greetings:
The documentation states this bird has a 300 gallon diesel tank. Over
the last six months, I usually filled the tank at 1/4 remaining
indicated on the gauge, which was about 210 gals. Anyone have
suggestions about the actual capacity and the point when the generator
quits drawing fuel? Are these coaches enough alike for others'
experiences to apply?
(Fuel economy has been about 4.9 mpg over 10,000 or so freeway miles,
mostly towing a full-size pickup and running the generator.)

Hi MIke:
The gen set will starve for fuel at about 35 gal. remaining in the tank,
which is just below 1/8th of a tank. Usually you will have between 100 and
150 miles worth of fuel left to find a fuel stop of some sort.

The PTs almost all have 300 gal tanks. With 1/4 remaining, a fill up
of 210 gallons is about right (technically, a fill up from 1/4 full
would be 225 gallons) so that's within the expected accuracy of a
fuel gauge. 4.9 mpg is also in the ball park with a large toad and
especially if you are running your generator some of the time.
Depending on the specific generator you have, it should use 1/2 to
3/4 gallon per hour depending on load, if typical.
