Hello Group,

My '83FC35 SB threw the fan belt and damaged other belts as well.
I've located a diagram in the Files section which does a nice job of
describing the belts as they should be arranged on an '84FC35.

Does anyone know if this is reliable for use on an '83 model? Mine
has the 250HP turbo. The diagram does not indicate whether it was
based on the NA or turbo. I doubt it matters but thought I would ask.

I had a friend come over to help me replace the belt that ended up
shredded on the hiway. He did a nice job of getting things set up so
she would run again. However, along the way he pulled all the belts
off and I'm not convinced that what I have now is correct.

Does anyone have a photo of the belts properly placed on an '83FC35,
250T, SB? It would help a bunch if this was not available. If not,
then when I'm finished reworking the belts I'll post a photo for
feedback and reference.

Thanks,

-Jack

Hello Jack,
Don't know which belt file you're referring to. I put one in that is based on a
our 84FC
3208 TA. Can't say for sure if it applies to your '83 but I'd think they're
close. Maybe
you're looking at another file entirely, not sure. Happy to answer more belt
questions if
you have some.

Hi Eric,

Yes, I believe yours is the one I downloaded from the forum files section. It
had 4 or 5 pages and everything was diagrammed. My guess is that there is
probably no difference in the belt setup between the '83 and '84 FC's but
someone probably knows with certainty.

By the way, if you put that file together.... nice job!

I think a photo or two would help further but if your diagram applies to my
year model then most likely I'm going to be ok.

Thanks,

-Jack
