Tech guys:
I have a Xantrex Freedom 458 that I want to hookup to replace my two
battery cookers in my 80FC31....My question is.......can I just hook
up the positive and negative lead of the Xantrex to the EXISTING
positive and negative(gnd) leads AFTER I disconnect the two cookers?
eg...remove two battery cookers, leaves me two leads; one positive,
one ground and I want to hook the Xantrex plus and minus to those
leads to have a "new" battery charger.

My question has nothing to do with the INVERTER side as that comes
later depending on how complicated and involved I want to
get.....Just asking if I can hook upo the battery charger to existing
leads for now...thanks...have I overworded this???

+ to +, and, - to -. and dough-see-dough, that's
all there is to it Hank. Your existing wiring should
be of adequate size to carry the current.

---THANKS Bob for the quick response...it is raining here in Florida
but when it stops I'm going to hook up the charger....not sure of my
approach to the INVERTER side...I may jus hook up a couple ac
outlets..one in kitchen and on in fron for tv and that's
enough...just want a tv for my 2hrs at night when I hit a
WALMART......when are they going to put electrical hookups at
walmarts?? can some one take care of that please.....lol

Inverter needs BIG wire-SHORT length from the battery
bank, LOTS of battery current needed, Wires to outlets
standard.

I've talked to Wal*Mart, Seems they're scheduling full
50 Amp hook-ups right after working out trash pick-up,
Faux grass patios, and a Honey Wagon. Cable comming soon!

Bob: Dont laugh, but there are 2 Wal Marts in Canada that have dump
stations on the lot. The dumps do not belong to Wal Mart. They are at a
Canadian Tire and a gas kiosk. There is another Wal Mart in Nebraska
that has a special parking area for 18 wheelers. Just like a truck
stop. I can see the Wal Mart greeter saying: Welcome to Wal Mart. Where
would you like to park?
