On my maiden voyage, I managed to get stuck in the field I was parked
in. The back wheels sunk in just enough to be trouble. It was totally
my fault and I do know better, but... I was wondering if most people
with PT's think its better or worse on soft ground with the tag axle
dumped or not? Theoretically I think it would be better with the tag
axle pressurized to distribute the weight more, but it was to late for
me to experiment. Otherwise than that, I loved the new coach!

p.s. I did an 850 mile round trip with the intake cowling facing
backwards, I don't have anything to compare to, but seemed fine to me.

Tom, I am very careful where I drive "off road" which in my terms is off
pavement. The campground we were at last week was watering all the dirt roads to
keep them packed so we wouldn't get stuck. Needless to say, I was rather
nervous about driving in a section of non watered area. But when I had to drive
there, I did not stop. Where we were at- there were no large tow trucks in
sight.

Thanks for the replys. They make fiberglass "runners" for heavy
equipment to drive on golf courses and such. I'm going to check into
the feasability of carrying some of these. It seems that a lot of my
camping habits take me to field type events and I still want to be able
to do this.
Are PT's less able to do this than FC's?
Do any PT owners drive on grass?
