I have seen so birds with nook dinning areas as apposed to the more
common dinettes. Is the a specific year or model that had these? Some
of them had table tops that slid in and out how does this work? Would
it be practical to put the slide on another table. Anyone seen or have
one of these?

Doug,
Referencing your prior question on wide bodies, I *believe* the dining
nooks as you called them started appearing with the wide bodies since
the designers had more room to work with. The nooks, including mine,
remind me of old restaurant booths. The slding tables work on an
electric/mechanical system to push the table in or out. When pushed
all the way out into the aisle, it can act as additional workspace for
the cook, and also makes it easier to get into the seat. When seated,
you can then just move it back in to where it is a comfortable
distance to eat, work, play cards, etc.....
