Hi George,
My mirror did the same two years ago. I used a product called
Polyseamseal. ot sure this is correct spelling, it's close. It's a construction
type
adhesive. I used clear. Goes on white, dries clear. You shouldn't see it anyway.
Use some tape to hold in position until dry. Lowes and Home Depot carry it here
in Maryland. It is water soluble when wet. easy clean up. Keep it dry over
night and it's good to go. My mirror has not budged since the repair.

Hope someone has had a previous fix for this . My driver's side
mirror,(BlueBird upgrade, electric, heated, with lower convex), is hanging by
its two wires. From looking at it, there appears to be two globs of silicon
on the convex mirror at the top, one on each end. Has any one ran across a *
super adhesive* that would work for this application. Because of the
curvature of the mirror, I don't think that you could run a bead all the way
across. Seems that the backing was designed to allow water to drip thru to
prevent freezing. Any one that can send some freezing/cool weather this way
would be a help to. This 100 degree humid stuff has gotten old. Thanks,

Be careful about what kind of smoke that you inhale up there Ernie.
Remember that Willie and Fam got smacked down in La. for inhaling the
wrong stuff. Enjoy your great weather. I do trust that you are going
to vacate Mt. before winter hits, or face the opposite of what is
happening here in N.C. now. My bones/body long to be in the cooler
climes in the summer, and down Fl./Tx. way in the winter. Regards,

Thanks Bob, I knew that JB Weld had plastics and metal covered, but
haven't seen or had a previous need for anything related to glass. If
it worked for you, then it should clear up my problem. I will look
for it tomorrow. Best Regards, George Burke 1977 FC31 Charlotte

You gotta love the dog days of summer in the Southeast. 83 degrees at 5AM,
raining hot water.

Jonathan L

I got home from work yesterday and figured I should check on my pool. The
pool water was 90 degrees. Like taking a warm bath. Bleah.

A member of the forum was offering his mirrors for free. I was the
winning bidder and for some reason, his email address and name have
disappeared from my 60+ year old brain. I need to be refreshed- so
please let me know if they are on the way, you have changed your mind,
or you sold them for cash. Thanks,Ernie- 83PT40 in Texas- thought I was
going to Montana, soon, but they have no work either.
