I cannot seem to find the W01-358-8992 air bag used on the FC front
anywhere. Have called ecverywhere I can find, including the places
listed in the database, no luck. Michigan Truck Spring said they can
get me one in 2-3 weeks, but that doesn't help me much. Seems the 8997
bag is common, I can find those all day, but they require modification
of the stud to be used on the FC front.

Anyone buy one of the 8992 lately?

Scott,
I just replaced two front airbags on my 82. There is a common one that fits
but the receipt is in the bird. It wasn't exactly the same but I did not
have a problem putting them in. I will try to stop by the storage unit
tonight or tomorrow and look up the number. I do remember they were $120
each.

That is probably the 8997, please verify when you can.

Thanks

I had an '81 FC which I had to replace one of the front air bags. I bought a
spare at the time and still have it if you are interested. The number isn't
what you are describing but what was ordered and worked. The number is
WO1-358-2119. If interested give me a shout.

Hi Scott,

I replaced my front air bags in March, and I couldn't find the 8992's
either; however I put in the Good Year 1R9-065, they were pricey, $139.90 each.
I
got them from Fleet Concepts of Charleston, Call Matt at 843-554-2330. He can
get them for you, and maybe you have one close to you they could ship to.

They were a "booger" to put in. Good luck.
