Hello all,

Went to replace the air compressor air filter this morning. Opened up
the little filter box and there is nothing in there, just an empty
little chamber.

What am I missing? Did someone take out a dirty filter and never
replace it? Does NAPA have them? Anyone know a part number since I
have nothing to match against?

Scott:
I recall reading that older model GM's (late 60's and 70's) had a
little filter at the end of the PCV valve line in the engine air
filter. This GM filter will fit in the air compressor on the 3208
according to what I read.

Scott,

Our foam filter was also missing, I think the compressor ate it.
hopefully little pieces are in the air dryer, Change the air dryer
filter also.
Take off the whole filter housing , two bolts,
take it to Napa and replace it with a new housing and a paper throw
away filter, It is about two inches round and it looks like a mini
carburator filter. Then it will be really easy to check and
replace, from the doghouse.
About $20.00.

Got one of those small round assemblies, much easier to deal with.

Bill on some of the FC models (for instance my former 1982 FC35)
there is not enough room to install the throw away filter housing and
filter. I bought the proper foam filters from NAPA.
