They told him that at 96 degrees in the coach, that was "normal"??? I would
expect to talk to someone who had a little more knowledge then their "techs"
about that.
My coach had a problem wih the ac's freezing up. Come to find out, I had the
fans turned on low- they need lots of air movement across all the coils to
keep from freezing. Now- in almost no humidity in Montana, no more freeze ups.

Hello Everyone,
I was working on installing my new backup camera and LCD monitor in
Pepto today when the rear air stopped working and I smelled smoke. I
turned it off and tried to reset the breaker. No luck. Well It is 16
years old.
My question, has anyone had trouble with the new 1500 Duo-Therm unit?
I read a review on line where one guy couldn't get the company to
stand behind the unit. They said he had to set it at 78 to 80 to keep
it from freezing up at night or during rain. He said a 5 PM it was 96
in coach. They told him that was normal. He said his old Duo-Therm
would keep it at 70.
I'm going to need an air box unit with a duck to bath. Any suggestions
on the best unit for the best price would be appreciated.

Maybe it is a start capacitor? the compressor wont smell because it
is sealed, however if the compressor screws up it may burn some
contacts. Keep your cool and have some simple a/c test done.

Hey all:
When I was down at Randy's looking at "MY COACH", one of the air conditioners
was freezing up and the temp in the coach with the other two air conditioners
was about 74 deg. When Randy and I cleaned allthe filters, two filters for each
air conditioner, wow, after 4 hours or so, it was colder in the coach than in
the fridge, well almost LOL.
So have you cleaned the filters? Or is the evaporator/condensor dirty?
