Three weeks ago I filled my tank 28+ gallons. This past weekend
fridge went out and would not relight. Stove top would not light
either. Monitor shows 3/4 tank. No leak alarm has sounded. Tank
valve is on. Any and all help/advise is appreciated!

Hi Marc, if your 88FC is like my 85PT there is a gas leak detector located
in the toe space below the refrigerator. It is very easy to trigger this
unit (shut it off) with you toe without realizing it; the result is exactly
what you have experienced, no propane powered appliances. To the best of my
knowledge there is no alarm with this unit just a “red light” on the gas
detector. If this is the cause simply reset by pushing the button, this
should result in a “green” light and all things functional. Note that my
wife has surprised me several times with this condition when she vacuums.

Marc,

Check behind the fridge, remove the outside frig. vent. There may be a
propane auto. shut-off in that compartment that is failing, or doing
it's job. It works with the sniffer/alarm.

The pressure regulator may be bad.

To verify that the tank has propane...pour a gallon of hot water at the
top of the propane tank and feel the tank from the top down. The tank
will get cooler at the propane level. This will tell you that you
Monitor is good or bad.

Check for a Suburban Propane dealer in your area. The store near me
resolved propane issues with our old Bird.

I'll check our blue book and if I find anything of value I'll let you know.

My blue book provided the following. Yours may be the same.

LP Gas Leakage Detector
In the event of an LP leak, the unit sounds an alarm (if that part is
working) and closes down the main LPG supply by activating the leak
detector solenoid shutoff valve located in the gas line just after the
low pressure regulator. If it is necessary to reset the solenoid (red
band is visible inside clear plastic valve housing), open the outside
refrigerator vent compartment door, remove plastic housing by gripping
locking levers and lifting upwards, push valve plunder down until it
remains down, then replace the cover. To test alarm operation, press the
test switch located on top of the detector unit. Alarm must sound for a
least 15 seconds before the shutoff valve will be activated.

Marc,

Check the Electronic Master, I believe that this should be in the
"ON" position, Overhead compartment behind speaker, just right of
dinette.
