Generator Coolant system is upgraded with all new parts. Ran the unit
today for 30 minutes and all is fine, except the oil and temperature
readings. The oil gauge is bad. I'll call Bluebird tomorrow morning and
attempt to find out if I received a non-matching temperature sender from
them.

The next project, of many...

Coach & Generator Battery Isolation. The large solenoid/diode that
separates the two battery systems...anyone know where I can buy the
large solenoid? That is Large as in amp capacity. Bluebird tells me they
want over $300.00 for one. Ouch!

Hey Curt,

Good to here that your genset is up and going. Did that oil pressure guage work
before you did all of the work? If so, did you keep the old sender? If it
worked before you could install the old sender and see whats happens. My oil
pressure guage works but will need to be replaced sometime in the near future.

Hi Leroy,

The oil pressure gauge did not work before all the latest coolant work.
Last year it was diagnosed by the shop that the gauge was bad. I tested
the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge and the pressure is at 80
pounds cold, 60 pounds warmed up.

I did reinstall the old coolant temperature sending unit. The
temperature gauge reads high...I'm guessing, by about 15 degrees.
