update-
I have fuel to the carb and spark and the plugs, but no boom
(combustion) just noticed however that my oil pressure gauge is pegged
all the way to the right and off the chart(100+) I would think that it
would be at zero when not running (to the left)

Q.
is there a oil pressure shut off switch somewhere or am I over
thinking things after two whole days of trying to get this thing
started...

thanks

Hi Mike, If you have fuel and spark then all you need is compression, just like
a cobra. Take out a plug, put your finger over the hole and spin the engine.
Do you have compression? Maybe the timing belt jumped a notch.

Hi Dan-
I have compression. Also looking in the manual there are two
safeguard breakers on the end of generator. should these be facing
left (rear of bus) or fwd (front of bus)???

Hi Mike,

You checked the timing with a light, valve timing is good, compression is
good, you gave it some ether to bypass the fuel system and it still won't start?
Maybe you are getting spark but it is too weak?
