Hi all,
After closer inspection of my steering box leak here is what I found. Where
the steering arm off the drag link connects to the steering box, there is a
rubber boot. Upon poking same, I was given a "power steering fluid"
bath...lol. when I pulled the boot back I could see where the connects to the
steering box, and that there are four bolts which holds that in place. Is it
safe
to assume that there is a seal in there? and that is probably what is
leaking?
Whereas I have about 20 miles to drive through heavy traffic, I think I will
let AAA tow me. I probably to do not have the expertise or the tools to get
that huge nut off the end of that spline, if that has to be taken off.
Any and all suggestions welcome. If that is a seal behind there would
anyone happen to have replaced one and have the number?
Thanks,
