when the engine is running neither my engine volmeter or amp meter
show a charge or movement. I know the system works because my battries
stay charged up.I would like to have them working. Any thoughts??

BE SURE there is good ground at meters. Is voltage/amps present at the
guages (wires at the guages)? If so, I'd think the guages are bad. If no
voltage/amps then go back to the source, the alternator/regulator and
check there, maybe the wires are loose. Hope this helps. Others will
join in and add to this. Good luck.
