Anyone with any information on Jonathan Fines'(Long Island)1980 31 ft
Bird would be appreciated. His asking price is in my budget. I want to
buy it and use it to drive my daughter to Las Vegas (teacher's position)
in Aug. Then I plan on continue on traveling to the desert SW for a
long winter's stay to ease my arthritic condition.

---TOM:
I see u have made a bid on jonathons bird on ebay........
I recommend it.
I tried to swap him for my 90SP36 and some cash but we could not get
together.....
Naturally when u buy an old bird, you always have to fix a thing or
two........from what I found out about it, the tires are seven years
old and maybe a roof air conditioner should be investigated...you
can ask jonathon about that........to me, it would be a bargain at
up to $17,000...........that's what I would give if I did not have
my 90SP36. call or email the seller and ask him questions.
overall, if you can get it at the right price, go for it....

--Tom, I was the 2nd owner of that BB. I had the engine rebuilt to try & gain
some more speed but that didn't happen until I changed the rear end gear ratio.
I also installed an exhaust brake on it. I bought it in '93 & traded it in '97
for the '90wl40' we bought.
The 1st owner had most of the reciepts for service. They had service at the
factory or a local shop. They currently own a '90wl40'.
